Product Benefits
- Proper light from sloped ceilings: Patented slope-ceiling down-light design directs light straight down for consistent illumination.
- Designed for steep pitches: Supports 30° to 45° slopes (7/12 to 12/12 pitch) to match challenging ceiling angles.
- Reliable electrical performance: UL Listed and C-UL/CSA certified for through-branch wiring, including damp and wet location suitability.
- Installer-friendly housing: Fully assembled with Real Nail® bar hangers, junction box knockouts, and integral T-bar mounting for faster, cleaner installs.
Key Features
- 6" Super slope housing (oval): Oblique angle housing design holds trims flush with the ceiling.
- Adjustable socket plate: Permits lamp to remain perpendicular to the floor through the entire pitch range.
- Medium base porcelain socket: Nickel-plated copper screw shell.
- Vertical housing adjustment: Accommodates up to a 1" ceiling thickness.
- Real Nail® 3 bar hangers: Telescoping system with pre-installed removable nail, Quick-Loc slot, oversized set screw lock, curved foot alignment, and patented break-away bars for tight joist spacing. Bar hangers may be re-positioned 90°.
- Suspended ceiling ready: Integral T-bar mounting feature for secure installation in suspended ceilings.
- Pre-wired junction box: (5) 1/2" and (1) 3/4" knockouts with pryout slots, (4) non-metallic sheathed cable connectors, and ground wire.

Applications
- Sloped residential ceilings requiring downlight output aimed straight down (30° to 45° slopes).
- Non-insulated ceiling cavities, or installations where insulation is kept at least 3" from the housing.
- Damp location areas, including covered exterior ceilings when paired with appropriate trims.
- Wet location installations when used with 603 trim.
- New construction joist applications and suspended ceilings using integral T-bar mounting.
Installation Tips
- Verify insulation conditions: This is a Non-IC housing—install only in non-insulated areas or maintain at least 3" clearance from insulation.
- Set the pitch correctly: Adjust the socket plate so the lamp remains perpendicular to the floor across the 30° to 45° slope range.
- Use the mounting features: Real Nail® bar hangers and Quick-Loc slot help position and lock the housing securely between joists.
- Plan wiring in advance: Use the pre-wired junction box knockouts and follow through-branch wiring limits (maximum (8) #12 AWG conductors).
- Match trim to environment: For wet locations, select the 603 trim to maintain wet location listing.
